The Deepwater Horizon/Macondo blowout in the Gulf of Mexico flowed from 20 April to 15 July 2010. After an explosion and fire on the Deepwater Horizon rig 11 platform workers were killed. The spill, which is the worst the petroleum industry has experienced, caused extensive damage to marine and wildlife habitats as well as the Gulf's fishing. add wellflow's personnel were engaged in the Well Kill and in the Investigation team, and have been sharing their experience and knowledge with clients, operators and authorities. The presentations include experience from the Deepwater Horizon project as well as the West Atlas/Montara blowout offshore Australia in the fall of 2009.
The team has now jointly held more than 100 presentations for roughly 6000 key professionals in 8 countries since the Montara incident in September 2009.
