The KPD (Chemical Product Data) Center was established in 1995 when KLIF (the Norwegian Climate & Pollution Agency) introduced the OSPAR Harmonized Offshore Chemical Notification Format (HOCNF) for documentation of environmental properties (eco-toxicological data) on chemicals in use offshore.
add energy operates the Center on behalf of the operators with activities on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The Center is supervised by a steering committee with representatives from each member company.
For this purpose, add energy has developed a database named NEMS Chemicals™ (Chemical Management System). HOCNF data from the suppliers are entered into this database, and add energy ensures that the data are in accordance with the KLIF requirements. KLIF has also access to the database.
All data stored in the KPD Center and the NEMS Chemicals™ database are strictly confidential and only accessible to selected personnel within approved companies/authorities.
If you would like to know more about this solution and what value it could mean to you and your company, please call Robert Tipton in add energy on telephone +47 51 95 00 18 or on e-mail Robert Tipton.
