Environmental Evaluations

Environmental evaluations of chemicals apply to:

• suppliers who want an outline of the environmental properties of their products
• operating companies applying for discharge permits
• operating companies who are planning to substitute a product due to unsatisfactory environmental properties
• operators who need assistance with the selection of two or more products (by eco-toxicological properties or by CHARM evaluation)

The products are evaluated according to prevailing guidelines, involving an evaluation of the whole product, as well as the substances, with respect to aquatic toxicity, bioaccumulation and biodegradation.

Furthermore the components are evaluated with respect to any given prohibition and phasing-out lists.
