Blowout Contingency Planning
add wellflow carries out a number of blowout contingency plans and other risk management studies.The contingency plans are normally related to planned exploration activity, field development projects or other risk management studies. add wellflow prepares contingency plans for the operator that meet the regulations, both governmental and operator specific. For operations on NCS this includes The Norwegian Activity Regulations and NORSOK D010. add wellflow also give advice to the operator with regards to casing design, completions, kick tolerance and kick circulation, and we estimate blowout rates used as input for oil spill calculations
Well Control
add wellflow personnel act as advisors to the operators during planning and execution of well control emergency incidents.
Typical Well Control projects include:
- Relief well drilling for kill of surface or subsea blowouts
- Shallow gas or water flow evaluation and kill
- Complex kick handling or kill of cross-flows
- Dynamic kill by snubbing or bullheading wells to regain control
add wellflow has been involved in more than 50 major blowout control projects, including offshore and onshore operations, relief well kill, deepwater operations, shallow gas flow, shallow water flow and cratered or broached blowouts.
